3 Cowboys
The photo of the 3 cowboys was shot on the Blevins Family Ranch in Oklahoma. It was taken around 9am, 3 hours into the work day. The cowboys featured in this image, Hunter, Blaze and Landon, had been doctoring cattle and decided to catch their breath for a moment. Taken on my Leica Q3 43, I loved the composition and how it shows the feeling of always being ready for work. Even during a break.

Catch your Horse
This moment was captured at the Lazy T Ranch in Wyoming. Brayden, the cowboy in this image, was working some new horses as soon as the sun came up. This was his first of many jobs for that day. He matched every movement the horse made like he was reading the horse’s mind.

Fences
This is the first in a series called “Fences.”
It’s fascinating that these are the main things keeping ranchers’ livelihood contained. I shot captured this image on my Pentax 67 medium format camera using Ilford black and white film.
